Hello and greetings from Tavastia, Finland! My name is Matias Mustonen, and I am a passionate insect enthusiast from Riihimäki. Welcome to the Entomological Shop Bugger website — a place where you can find high-quality supplies for insect research, as well as interesting articles about the fascinating world of insects.

My journey into entomology began at the age of 12, when I started photographing insects at our family summer cottage. Curiosity soon carried me deeper into the microscopic world, and before long I acquired my first microscope and began building a reference collection of Nordic beetles. The endless diversity of insects and their partly invisible and unknown world continue to fascinate me day after day.

For a long time, I was dissatisfied with the availability of high-quality entomological supplies in Finland. Many important tools had to be ordered from several different suppliers abroad. During my university studies, I came up with the idea of founding my own entomological supply shop, and in 2021 I launched the first online version of Bugger. Since then, my goal has been to serve both hobbyists and researchers in Finland and abroad by offering carefully selected products and straightforward customer service.

Through my website, I am also able to share updates on my own research in the form of insect-related articles. More in-depth, yet still accessible information about insects is comparatively scarce, especially in Finnish. I hope these articles will be both useful and enjoyable for other enthusiasts as well.
